A Boogie Performs “Drowning (Water)” On MTV’s TRL [WATCH]

Hometown New York hero, A Boogie, took over the TRL stage to perform his ‘The Bigger Artist’ single “Drowning (Water).”

Co-produced by Florida’s Jaahan Sweet and Quasi, the single has been a sensation and clear standout from other joints on the debut album.

A Boogie will begin his headlining tour on October 19th in Santa Ana, California.

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie Drops Long-Awaited Debut ‘The Bigger Artist’ [STREAM]

Dropping mixtape after mixtape is how A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie created a buzz for himself. With the hype there, A Boogie finally releases his long-awaited debut album, ‘The Bigger Artist’.

Loaded with 15-tracks, A Boogie shows his artistry with features from Chris Brown on “Fucking & Kissing,” Trey Songz and Robin Thicke on “Bad Girl,” 21 Savage on “Undefeated,” Kodak Black on “Drowning,” and YoungBoy Never Broke Again on “Beast Mode.”

Production on the album is mostly handled by some of the top producers in the game like Metro Boomin, DJ Mustard, Murda Beatz, and Cardo.

It’s already been a big year for A Boogie, who was elected as a XXL Freshman of the Year back in June. Later this year he will release his final mixtape, a compilation with his label mate, Don Q. He’s also expressed his interest in changing his name to Artist.

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie Shares Features For Debut Album ‘The Bigger Artist’ [PEEP]

Earlier this week New York rapper, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie not only announced his debut album, ‘The Bigger Artist’, he also uncovered the album artwork and set a release date of September 29th. The XXL Freshman of the Year has now shared features the album will include.

“Sept. 29. Shit is about to be different, man. I ain’t gonna lie, it’s gonna be different vibes, man. You see how I do love songs? It’s gonna be those in there, but I threw different types of vibes in it that I don’t really go on. So I got a song with Chris Brown on there, Trey Songz on there, I got 21 [Savage] on there, PnB Rock, NBA YoungBoy. It’s about to be different, man,” he said while speaking to Billboard.

Some of these features like Chris Brown and PnB Rock should come as no surprise, with the rapper having already collaborated with them.

A Boogie also said during the interview that this album will end his mixtape era, but before that he’s releasing one more EP with fellow High Bridge artist, Don Q.

“I stopped doing that mixtape thing, I’m not really rocking with mixtapes no more. EPs and albums, that’s it,” he said. “Speaking of that, I forgot, I got one more mixtape coming. Me and Don Q dropping a mixtape.”

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie Shares Artwork & Release Date For Debut Album [PEEP]

It’s album time for New York’s A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, who announced his debut album, ‘The Bigger Artist’ today. Along with the big announcement, A Boogie unveiled the cover art and said in a Instagram post that he will be dropping the album on September 29th.

The artwork shows a piece of paper with A Boogie’s hand holding up other artists like puppets. With the title, the High Bridge rapper references his nickname of Artist meaning he’s dangling other artists, as he’s “The Bigger Artist.”

It’ll be interesting to see the names that he’ll collaborate on his album after teaming up with a number of artists like Chris Brown, Fabolous, PnB Rock, Kodak Black, Young Dolph, and others.

Who’s Dropping: New Music Releases In September [PEEP]

A new month means new album and mixtape releases. The month of August or AWGEST was spearheaded by three A$AP Mob projects, beginning with A$AP Twelvyy’s debut album ’12’, A$AP Ferg’s ‘Still Striving’, and the collective’s ‘Cozy Tapes, Vol. 2: Too Cozy’.

Dave East also dropped some heat with his ‘Paranoia: A True Story’ EP, while Lil Uzi Vert finally gave fans what they wanted with his ‘LUV Is Rage 2’ album. Uzi’s album has toppled the charts selling over 120,000-copies in its first week.

September is looking to be pretty busy with Gucci Mane, Macklemore, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, The Cool Kids, Wyclef Jean, and others gearing up to give the music world their latest offering. Others expected to release an album, but have yet to make it official are Fabolous, Jhene Aiko, PARTYNEXTDOOR, and dvsn.

Breaking out with The Internet, Syd is looking to continue her solo career with the follow-up to her debut album, ‘Fin’, which she dropped in February. Having already shared the first single off her forthcoming ‘Always Never Home’ EP, the songstress will release the project on September 8th.

GUCCI MANE – ‘MR. DAVIS’ (9/15)

Since being released from prison in May of last year, Gucci Mane has had an incredible output and is on a historic stretch. GuWop has released two albums in ‘Everybody Looking’ and ‘The Return of East Atlanta Santa’, while also dropping three mixtapes in ‘First Day Out Tha Feds’, ‘Woptober’, and ‘Drop Top Wop’. Staying true to his hard-working mantra, Gucci will drop ‘Mr. Davis’ on August 15th.

THE COOL KIDS – ‘SPECIAL EDITION GRAND MASTER DELUXE’ (9/15)

After deading rumors of a new album, Sir Michael Rocks and Chuck Inglish also known as The Cool Kids are ready to regroup with what may be their final album, ‘Special Edition Grand Master Deluxe’. It’s the group’s first release since 2011’s ‘When Fish Ride Bicycles’. Last week the group shared the first single “9:15 PM” featuring Jeremih.

Without the help of his longtime running mate, Ryan Lewis, Macklemore will release his solo offering, ‘Gemini’ on September 22nd. Led by the singles “Marmalade” featuring Lil Yachty and “Glorious” featuring Skylar Grey, Mack’s new album will include features on 15 of the 16 tracks.

Fabolous’ ‘Summertime Shootout’ mixtape series is arguably one of the Street Fam rapper’s best. The series has created reasonable hype, with Fab continuously coming through with swift, hard-hitting, repeatable tracks. JHENE AIKO – ‘TRIP 17’ (TBA)

Jhene Aiko enthusiasts have a reason to celebrate with the songstress announcing her forthcoming sophomore album, ‘Trip 17’. The announcement was made in the September/October 2017 issue of Playboy, where she shared her intentions to release the album. While describing the upcoming album, Jhene said she’s taking listeners on a trip and compared the album to a map.
