New Music: Nipsey Hussle – “Dedication” Feat. Kendrick Lamar [LISTEN]

We’re only three days away from getting Nipsey Hussle’s highly-anticipated ‘Victory Lap’ debut album. In what has been a solid and successful roll out, Nip drops off one more single before putting the album out this Friday. “Dedication” unites him with another mega LA rapper in Kendrick Lamar.

The anthem opens with a verse from Neighbahood Nip about unifying every gang in the streets and his dedication in doing so. He also goes on to call himself the 2-Pac of this generation rapping,  “Tupac of my generation / Blue pill in the fuckin’ Matrix / Red rose in the grey pavement / Young black ni**a trapped, and he can’t change it.”

Kompton Kenny follows him with a verse that shouts out legends like 2-Pac and Snoop, as well as Top Dawg and Nip. “For generations, we’ve been dealt bad hands with bad plans / Proving your dedication by hoppin’ out Grand Ams / I’m at the premiere, politickin’ with Top, Nip, and Snoop / Damn, ‘Pac watchin’ the way we cool from dedication,” raps K. Dot.

‘Victory Lap’ will be released this Friday, February 16th just in time for NBA All-Star weekend. It will include addiditional features from YG, Puff Daddy, The-Dream, CeeLo Green, Buddy, and Marsha Ambrosius.

Cozz Releases ‘Effected’ Album W/ Features From Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole & More [STREAM]

Looking to take his career to the next level Dreamville rapper Cozz releases his debut album, ‘Effected’, which showcases his heavy lyricism skills, wordplay, and proves he’s ready for the next level.

Loaded with a total of 14-tracks, Cody Macc calls on his Dreamville boss J. Cole on”Zendaya,” links up with fellow LA rapper Kendrick Lamar on “Hustla’s Story,” and Compton’s Garren on “Bout It.” The album also includes previously-released singles like “Questions” and “Badu” featuring Curren$y.

In his “Effected” documentary Cozz talked about the creative process behind the album saying, “When I made this project, I wasn’t thinking of nobody else,” he said. “I wasn’t listening to nobody else, I wasn’t even comparing myself to nobody else. I was just competing against myself.”

Nyce Pick: YMTK – ‘February Fck Around <3' [STREAM]

Bay Area crooner ymtk gets the Valentine’s Day vibes rolling with his ‘February Fck Around <3’ two-song EP.

The first single “Makin It” is produced by a combination of Ekzakt and Drew Banga. It includes a smooth bassline that ymtk gets busy over and sings about smoking weed and making love to his lover friend. It is definitely guaranteed to get the action cracking in the bedroom.

Single number 2 is called “Need” also produced by Ekzakt and features Kezia, who stands out her soothing lyrics and a heavenly voice. Meanwhile ymtk comes through with a cadence similar to the 1990’s group, Hi-Five.

Tyga Uncovers Track Listing For Upcoming “Kyoto” Album [PEEP]

This Friday Tyga will be releasing his new album ‘Kyoto’, which will follow last year’s ‘BitchImTheShit 2’. Before giving his fans the finished product, T-Raww reveals his official track listing along with total number of tracks.

Set to include 14-tracks, Tyga will collaborate with Gucci Mane on “Sip a Lil,” Tory Lanez on “Faithful,” and 24hrs on “Holdin On.” Along with the guest features, the album will also include singles that are already out like “Boss Up” and “Temperature.”

Tyga clearly drew inspiration from past superstars like Murder Inc.’s biggest acts on the track “Ja Rule & Ashanti,” while Diddy, Usher, Ginuwine, and Loon on “I Need a Girl, Pt. 3,” which should include a similar chorus or sample the originals.

New Music: Tinashe – “Faded Love” Feat. Future [LISTEN]

Album time must be approaching for the beautiful Tinashe, who has been in the studio working on her anticipated, upcoming ‘Joyride’ album. After dropping “No Drama” with Offset a few weeks ago, the songstress returns with Future on her new one, “Faded Love.”

Last time Tinashe linked up with Hendrxx was on “How Many Times” off her 2014 ‘Aquarius’ album. Going over the Stargate-produced track, ‘nashe and Future exchange lyrics about love with the duo serenading their audience.

It’s unclear when exactly Tinashe will be releasing ‘Joyride’, but she does seem poised to let it go sometime this year. Stay tuned for any updates, you know I got you covered.

New Video: Fabolous & Jadakiss – “Theme Music” Feat. Swizz Beatz [WATCH]

Toasting to the success of their collaborative ‘Friday on Elm Street’ album, Fabolous and Jadakiss share the video for the Swizz Beatz-assisted “Theme Music.”

Directed by Gerard Victor, the video shows Freddy and Jason draped in suits and ties along with Swizz. The trio rolls together and takes over a skating rink, as they show off their impressive dance moves and celebrate life. Champagne bottles popping and smoke in the air adds to the party.

The Marvin Gaye-sampled “Theme Music” follows “F vs. J Intro” and “Soul Food” on getting the video treatment.
