New Video: Nipsey Hussle – “Hussle & Motivate” [WATCH]

Turning the video for “Hussle & Motivate” into part one of his ‘Victory Lap’ short film, Nipsey Hussle uses the help of his beloved Lauren London as he evades police throughout LA on the way to bailing his homie out of prison.

It is quite clear that there are more parts to this storyline because at the end of the approximately 7-minute video the screen blackens and the words, “To Be Continued…” appear.

New Music: Snoop Dogg – “Sunshine Feel Good” Feat. Kim Burrell [LISTEN]

Moving on from his surprise ‘220’ EP that dropped yesterday, Snoop Dogg puts his focus back on his upcoming ‘Bible of Love’ gospel album with a new single. Teaming up with Kim Burrell, Snoop releases his new single “Sunshine Feel Good,” produced by DJ Battlecat.

Kendrick Lamar Performs At 2018 Brit Awards [WATCH]

Adding intensity to the 2018 Brit Awards, Kendrick Lamar delivered an electrifying performance of “FEEL.” and Rich The Kid’s “New Freezer” in front of thousands inside London’s 02 Arena.

Turning the “0-2 into the 0-3” Dot began the performance on the ground, where he laid on top of a clear rectangular stage prop. He kicked things off with a performance of his ‘DAMN.’ single “FEEL.” Soon after Rich The Kid emerged inside the rectangular box, bashing the window of an orange Lambo as the two performed “New Freezer.”

During the performance Kung-Fu Kenny announced the release date for Rich’s forthcoming album rapping, “Rich the Kid’s album on the way / 3/30, save the date.”

At the award show Kompton Kenny won the award for Best International Male Solo Artist. See it below.

Birdman Says Lil Wayne’s ‘Tha Carter V’ Will Be Released This Year [PEEP]

There’s been a longstanding beef and battle between Young Money’s Lil Wayne and Cash Money head-honcho Birdman about the release of Weezy’s long-awaited, anticipated ‘Tha Carter V’ album. That may be coming to an end with Stunna guaranteeing the album will drop this year.

In an interview with Rap-Up, where he promoted his Apple Music “Before Anythang: The Cash Money Story,” Birdman got candid about his relationship with Wayne and revealed that he will be freeing ‘Tha Carter V’ and said “it’s gonna be the biggest album of 2018.”

“We’ll get that this year, I’m guaranteeing you gon’ get it this year,” he said.

“He is the best ever to me. A lot of success comes from under his umbrella. I think it’s gonna be the biggest album of 2018, one of them. Without a doubt. It’s gonna be well worth the wait,” he continued, assuring the release further.

The album’s delay caused a tension amongst Wayne and Baby and led to a $51-million lawsuit against Cash Money. Rick Ross also got involved in the beef by coming at Birdman for not paying Wayne and holding onto the album.

Lil Yachty Uncovers ‘Lil Boat 2’ Cover Art & Release Date [PEEP]

Taking a page out of the Migos’ book, fellow Quality Control Music artist, Lil Yachty opts to release the sequel to his 2016 mixtape ‘Lil Boat 2’ on the anniversary date of March 9th. He made the announcement on Twitter and posted the cover art as well, which shows him in the water wearing two massive, iced-out gold chains.

Just last year the Atlanta rapper released his debut album ‘Teenage Emotions’ that peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart and included singles like “Forever Young” featuring Diplo, “Peek A Boo” featuring Migos, and “Bring it Back.”

The album drew a lot of controversy and created a heated battle with former “Everyday Struggle” host Joe Budden, who harshly critiqued the album and also made a spectacle of Yachty’s appearance on the show.

Last year Lil Uzi Vert and Playboi Carti teased their joint ‘16.29’ project along with a tour, which was eventually cancelled. It appears that the album might actually come to fruition with the duo releasing their new collaboration “Bankroll.”

Tinashe Gives Details About Her Upcoming ‘Joyride’ Album & More [WATCH]

 

My boo Tinashe stopped by the Power 106 #LIFTOFF to talk to my bros Justin Credible and DJ Sourmilk.

While in the studio she debuted one of her new singles in “No Drama” featuring Migos member, Offset. After Jus and Milk played the record a couple times she discussed how it came to fruition, gave details on her forthcoming ‘Joyride’ album, discussed proper DM etiquette, and more.

She also played a game of “Drama or No Drama” after her single and answered questions about situations she feels are drama-filled and others that aren’t.

New Music: SOBxRBE – “Anti Social” [LISTEN]

Having their debut album on the way has really opened up SOBxRBE to all kinds of different opportunities. Over the weekend they performed in front of thousands at the Jumpman 23 event, have one of the dopest songs on the ‘Black Panther: The Album’, and earlier today it was announced they will be joining Post Malone and 21 Savage on their joint tour.

Capitalizing on all the movement, the Bay Area’s upward trending group released their new single “Anti Social.” The track will land on their forthcoming ‘Gangin’ album that is expected to be released this Friday, February 23rd.

Hot off his deal with Quality Control Music, Trippie Redd shares the suspenseful video for “Dark Knight Dummo” featuring Travis Scott.

In the bloody video Trippie is shown with his girlfriend at an abandoned home counting money with his girlfriend. He then emerges from the fog and comes out blasting at a crew of zombies with two firearms. La Flame then comes to his assistance firing two guns of his own from the top of a monster truck.

Snoop Dogg Drops Surprise ‘220’ EP [PEEP]

Being an independent artist has given Snoop Dogg the flexibility to drop music whenever. On 2/20 Tha Doggfather surprises his fans masses with ‘220’, an eight-track project that allows him to get back to his gangster self and bring back some g-funk.

The surprise project comes before his Gospel album, which he’s been working on. Before letting that go he connects with Dreezy, Jacquees, Kokane, October London, Lunchmoney Lewis, Goldie Loc, and the Hypnotic Brass Essemble.

“This is an EP from your favorite rapper’s rapper, Big Snoop Dogg,” said Uncle Snoop about the release, which comes on Empire/Doggystyle Records. “I know you’re gonna dig this.”

New Music: Young Thug – “Yes Indeed (Big Ol Blood)” [LISTEN]

Back in 2015 Young Thug previewed a track that was tentatively titled “Big Ol Blood,” by his fans. Those fans have pressed Thugger about the track since then and have desperately waiting for it and today the Atlanta rapper drops it with the title of “Yes Indeed (Big Ol Blood).”

Elsewhere in Thugger news, he tweeted today that he was changing his name to “SEX” and has urged everyone to only refer to him as “SEX” from now on.

Jamie Foxx & ChaCha The Wave All-Star Basketball Charity Event Was A Success [PEEP]

Academy and Grammy Award-winning actor/singer Jamie Foxx and Drake’s cousin OVO Ryan Silverstein joined forces on Saturday February 17, 2018 for an All-Star weekend extravaganza that was the first annual “ChaCha The Wave Celebrity Charity Basketball Tournament.”

The charity event took place at Jamie’s lavish Thousand Oaks estate, where guests enjoyed food from the popular Fat Sal’s restaurant chain and gifting of Jamie Foxx’s Prive Revaux sunglass line, as well as Lyfted Extracts. The star-studded celebrity attendees also enjoyed beverages provided by Bio Steel, Essential Life House, Tequila Avion, Bumbu Rum, Tito’s Vodka, and Luc Belaire.

Foxx and Silverstein put the event together for the purpose of raising money for the Jamie Foxx Foundation and The Spirit League Foundation. Both organizations provide health, education, and welfare of children around the world. It also facilitates adoption programs and exposes children to music, comedy, and the arts.

Chance The Rapper dominated on the court and was the lead scorer, amongst all his teammates and opponents. Murda Beatz also did a great job coaching for Foxx’s squad, that ultimately won.
