New Music: Prodigy – “Hard Body Karate” Feat. Twin & Conway [LISTEN]

prodigy

Today would’ve been the late Prodigy’s 43rd birthday. The legendary Mobb Deep rapper passed away earlier this year on June 20th, after suffering from complications with Sickle Cell disease, which he had been dealing with his whole life.

To celebrate P’s birthday, veteran producer Vanderslice has released a single he said has been stashed “for years” in his vault. The single, “Hardbody Karate” features New York rapper Conway and Big Twins.

New Video: Machine Gun Kelly – “Golden God” [WATCH]

mgk-golden-god

Off of Machine Gun Kelly’s ‘bloom’ album, his “Golden God” single is definitely one of the standouts for me. The braggadocio track is a banger that is fully-loaded with bars and a thumping, head-knocking instrumental.

MGK honors ‘bloom’ going gold by dropping the Jordan Wozy-directed visuals for “Golden God,” where he takes it to Sin City for action-packed fun. In one scene the Cleveland rapper is serviced by beautiful women, who bring that room service to his Las Vegas suite.

Miguel Unveils Cover Art & Release Date For ‘War & Leisure’ Album + Shares New Single [PEEP]

miguel-war-leisure

Two-years-ago Miguel released his GRAMMY-nominated, psychedelic ‘Wildheart’ album that included the singles “Coffee” and “Waves.” The R&B sensation will be following that with his upcoming ‘War & Leisure’ album that he announced will be released December 1st.

‘War & Leisure’ will reportedly include 12-tracks, including the Travis Scott-assisted “Sky Walker” and “Shockandawe.” Along with those two singles, Miguel shared a new track called “Told You So,” which is the third single off the album.

The bouncy, guitar-heavy “Told You So” single comes with crazy vocals from Miguel, who exudes confidence on the track. Listen below.

Miguel has also uncovered the artwork for ‘War & Leisure’, where he is shown wearing a groovy outfit with a military hat, as he is levitated from what appears to be sand. The sand clearly represents the war in the Middle East and correlates with recent single’s artwork that have all included some kind of war depiction.

New Music: N.E.R.D – “Lemon” Feat. Rihanna [LISTEN]

With N.E.R.D set to reunite at ComplexCon this weekend in Long Beach, the group comprised of Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo, and Shay Haley released their newest single, “Lemon” featuring none other then Rihanna.

This single is N.E.R.D’s first since their last album ‘Nothing’ dropped 7-years-ago. Over the busy, hypnotic production, Rihanna displays her rapping skills, while Pharrell does his thing and while he gets political raps,  “If not now, then when / If not me, then who / Don’t drink the Kool-Aid, my friends / I tried to tell y’all about this dude!”

Aside from performing at ComplexCon this Saturday, November 4th, the group is apparently working on an album that will follow ‘Nothing’. Several N.E.R.D billboards have been appearing around L.A. The billboards read, “No One Ever Really Dies,” which is an acronym for N.E.R.D, but may also be the title of the group’s upcoming album.
