New Music: N.O.R.E. – “Uno Mas” Feat. Pharrell [LISTEN]

nore-pharrell

N.O.R.E. had the Internet buzzing back in June when he posted a picture with Pharrell in the studio. I asked if he had a joint in the holster when I ran into him at the “All Eyez On Me” premiere after-party, but he just smiled, leaving the rest to imagination. Sure enough the New York veteran dropped his new single “Uno Mas” featuring Skateboard P.

Accompanying the single is an animated lyric video that is inspired by his native Puerto Rico. The single is filled with island vibes, while N.O.R.E. and Pharrell exude the upmost chemistry on the track. I hope “Uno Mas” is code for a new N.O.R.E. album on the way.

New Music: Tee Grizzley – “Beef” Feat. Meek Mill [LISTEN]

tee-grizzley-beef-feat-meek-mill

If it’s a problem Tee Grizzley and Meek Mill aren’t shying away from it. With explicit, violent lyrics the collaborators go back-and-forth in full detail of how they handle any “Beef” that rivals bring their way.

“Beef” is produced by Helluva, whom also produced Grizzley’s infamous “First Day Out” single. It’s unclear where this single will land, but it certainly sounds like it won’t just be a loosie and could end up on a future Grizzley project.

New Music: Rick Ross – “Jumping Ship” [LISTEN]

rick-ross-jumping-ship

Earlier this year Rick Ross delivered what is one of the best albums this year in ‘Rather You Than Me’. He followed that solid effort with the Anthony Hamilton-assisted “Glory of War” and today returns with “Jumping Ship.”

Over the Treazy and Sam Sneak co-produced track, Ross raps about woman that leave their man to join his team, but also fires off aggressive raps about “p*ssy n****s who be jumping ship.” The single could be a possible diss at Meek Mill, who shared the stage with his nemesis, 50 Cent in Las Vegas this past weekend.

Is Ross coming for Meek? Tell us your thoughts in the comments section but first listen below.

Ahead of the mixtape, Fab has released what appears to be the first single off ‘Summertime Shootout 3’. The single “Flip Mode (Remix)” features Chris Brown and Velous. When Fab teased the single earlier this week, he wrote, “SummertimeShootout3OnTheWay,” alluding to the forthcoming EP.

“Flip Mode” was originally released by Velous last year, but Fab has added a fire verse filled with punchlines and comical lines. Breezy contributes a verse of his own, while Velous gets off on a hook and handles the hook.

jay-z-dream-on

Jay-Z’s recent ‘4:44’ album spread a lot of inspiration with the rapper dropping several gems. Hov looks to continue to inspire his people with a new spoken word video called “Dream. On.”

While Hov spits motivating words circulating around June 1983, when he was 13-years-old. Reliving his real struggles the video includes walls and ceilings in despair, rugged Puma sneakers, boomboxes, a vintage tape recorder next to pages of his lyrics to Big L’s “Da Graveyard” collaboration, and more.

Hov takes listeners into the struggles he faced, while also explaining in detail the kind of hard work needed to succeed.  “Blood, sweat, and tears / I know what a kid from 5C see’d,” he says. “Heaven knows, all I had was hella hope / Speed dating with destiny, I couldn’t tell her nope,” raps Jay.

Screen Shot 2017-08-30 at 11.16.01 AM

Jhene Aiko enthusiasts have a reason to celebrate with the songstress announcing her forthcoming sophomore album, ‘Trip 17’.

The announcement was made in the September/October 2017 issue of Playboy, where she shared her intentions to release the album. While describing her album, Penny said she’s taking listeners on a trip and compared the album to a map.

“It’s inspired by every type of trip you could imagine: mental, physical, even psychedelic,” explained Aiko. “I’m at a point where I put it all in the music. It’s a puzzle I want people to put together.”

‘Trip 17’ will be Jhene’s first solo album since her 2014 freshman offering, ‘Souled Out’. Aside from her solo album, it is expected that Jhene and her beau, Big Sean will release a follow-up ‘Twenty88’ project. It’s unclear which will come first, but any new music from the beautiful singer is always welcomed.
