Kodak Black’s released from jail a whole 267 days early after serving 97 days. According to TMZ, his release relied on his completion of a voluntary life skills class, which he completed in Broward County Jail. The course is said to have taught Kodak about life skills management, parenting, domestic violence, coping, and more.

His original sentence was set for 364 days, but after completing the class the judge demanded he take, he’s off the hook — for now atleast. While he continues to carry on with his legal woes, Kodak will remain on house arrest for the next year and will need to be granted permission for any kind of work-related travel.

The Florida rapper showed his joy of being free with an Instagram video, where he sang along to Lauryn Hill’s “Ex Factor.” Watch below.

The last year has been filled with legal troubles for Kodak. Last August he reached a plea and was sentenced to a one year of house arrest and five years of probation for charges of robbery, evading police, possession of a fire arm, and more.

He violated his house arrest agreement by leaving his home without permission and photos of him at a strip club landed on the Internet, making it easy for authorities to lock him up.

Let’s hope he can stay in the right lane and focus on his music career.
