If you recall the Afrobeat-produced track was leaked in January and played on OVOSOUNDRADIO as “Hush Up the Silence”. “Come Closer” is the final version of the song and is the first single off Wiz’s forthcoming, debut album ‘Sounds From the Other Side’.

New Music: Ludacris – “Vitamin D” Feat. Ty Dolla $ign [LISTEN]

Ludacris returns to music after a 2-year hiatus with the Ty Dolla $ign-assisted “Vitamin D”.

The song samples Sisqo’s 2000s hit-single “Thong Song,” with Luda spitting funny raps about giving women that “Vitamin D” and other sexual lyrics. Ty handles the hook adding some raunchy, ratchetness to it.

Luda will be back on the big screen April 14th in “The Fate of the Furious,” from “The Fast and the Furious” franchise.

New Music: Logic – “Everybody” [LISTEN]

“Gone for a minute but back now,” Logic shares the title track for his forthcoming ‘Everybody’ album. The social-conscious track sheds light on race issues as Young Sinatra spreads a message that no matter your race, color of your skin, or religion “Everybody” people.

Being bi-racial, Logic makes it known that he’s struggled in the past with fitting in and praises God by rapping, “Not accepted by the black or the white / I don’t give a fuck, praise God, I could see the light / Everybody talkin’ ’bout race this, race that / Man, I wish I could erase that, face facts.”

“Everybody” is the first single off Logic’s forthcoming, third studio album. ‘Everybody’ formerly known as “AfricAryaN” is set to be released May 5th. There will be a deluxe edition which will be packaged with a full-length documentary.

Logic spoke about changing the album title saying, “this album is for “Everybody,” which perspective am I rapping from? everybody’s.”

Tinashe Performs “Flame” On The “Tonight Show” [WATCH]

The songstress ran through the single while orange smoke lingered in the air and red, yellow, purple, and pink lights shined behind her.

New Music: G-Eazy & Carnage – ‘Step Brothers’ [LISTEN]

G-Eazy and DJ Carnage show their bond on their collaborative ‘Step Brothers’ EP.

The duo released a video for the lead single “Guala” earlier this week, where Carnage laid some vocals down as Thirty Rack. Along with Guala the 4-track EP includes features from 24Hrs on “Down For Me” and Smokepurpp on “Buddah”.

G explained the project was an easy and fun experience that the two knocked out in “two nights.” He went on to say, “We’ve literally known each other forever and we both worked our asses off for years to come up and make it to this point. We’ve both always had that same level of ambition, even when we were unknown. That’s my brother for life so we’ll probably keep working together for the rest of our careers.”

New Album: Kodak Black – ‘Painting Pictures’ [LISTEN]

Even behind bars, Kodak Black drops his debut album “Painting Pictures.”

The 18-song effort includes contributions from Future on “Conscience”, Young Thug on “Top Off Benz”, Jeezy on “Feeling Like”, Bun B on “Candy Paint”, and A Boogie wit Da Hoodie on “Reminiscing”.

Along with the ‘Painting Pictures’ debut album, Lil Kodak’s “Project Baby” documentary was also released. The documentrary screened in New York and shows Kodak talking about making the album, his rapping. and more.

“I don’t sugarcoat,” he says in the documentary. “I talk about the struggle. I talk about how I got it now. I talk about what I did as a kid. I talk about everything. Even if you ain’t been through that shit, when you listening to my shit, you’re gonna feel like you’ve been through it. It’s like a movie. I feel like you’re in this movie right now. I don’t rap. I illustrate. Everything I say is like you see it vividly.”

New Music: YG & DJ Mustard – “Pop It, Shake It” [LISTEN]

If you check YG and DJ Mustard’s track record, you will see that together they have a whole catalog of hits in the books. After a little hiatus, the West Coast duo is back with a new slapper called “Pop It, Shake It” guaranteed to make your trunk thump.

There’s no telling if the track is a one-off, or if it is a single off an upcoming mixtape. YG has been teasing ‘Just Re’d Up 3’ and there’s also been talk of a ‘400 Summers’ compilation album, so maybe it’s the first single off one of those. Either way, this song is guaranteed to light up the clubs.

New Video: Kendrick Lamar – “Humble.” [WATCH]

It’s officially K. Dot season!

After the release of his new single “The Heart Part 4,” on which he announced his forthcoming album is dropping April 7th, K. Dot drops his new single “Humble.” Along with the single, the Compton rapper dropped a video where he is shown with his head on fire.

The Dave Meyers-directed cinematic video shows K. Dot playing the Vatican, before recreating “The Last Supper” with his TDE family. The video also takes viewers from a beauty salon to the LA River and other parts of LA.

“Humble.” is produced by Mike WiLL Made-It and comes fully equipped with thumping 808s. Mike and Kendrick recently worked on “Perfect Pint” along with Rae Sremmurd and Gucci Mane off Mike’s ‘Ransom 2’ album.

Cam’ron Drops “10,000 Miles” Short Film & Single [PEEP]

Back in January Cam’ron teased his single “10,000 Miles” and said the Clifton Bell-directed movie was coming “this summer.” Finally after several delays, Killa Cam gives fans what they’ve been asking for by dropping the song and short film on the same day.

For the song, Killa does what he does by sampling a classic, by using Vanessa Carlton’s “A Thousand Miles Away,” fittingly. In the past Cam has sampled The Four Seasons’ “December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night),” Andrew Gold’s “Thank You For Being A Friend,” The S.O.S. Band’s “Weekend Girl,” and others.

The short film which accompanies the single was directed by Clifton Bell and shot in Los Angeles. In the video Cam’s girl catches the DipSet rapper cheating by uncovering his lies one photo at a time. Cam is destined to get his girl back and trys to go the Kobe Bryant route by buying her a rock.

New Video: A Tribe Called Quest – “Dis Generation” [WATCH]

With their final album, We got it from Here… Thank You 4 Your service’ in the books, A Tribe Called Quest continues to release videos for singles off the project.

The Hiro Murai-directed black-and-white video shows the group along with Busta Rhymes chilling and dancing at a train station, while everyone else around them appears to be frozen. Unlike other videos that have been released from the project, this one doesn’t include any footage of the late-Phife Dawg. However, you do still hear Phife’s verse in the video.

The soundtrack for “The Fate of the Furious” movie is shaping up to be a real lit one. Following G-Eazy and Kehlani’s “Good Life” collaboration and Lil Uzi Vert, Travis Scott, and Quavo’s “Go Off,” comes “Horses,” which features PnB Rock, Kodak Black, and A Boogie wit da Hoodie.

The title of the track refers to horsepower in cars. “All these horses in my car got me going fast / Put my pedal to the gas / Going so fast, hope I don’t crash / One false move, that could be my last,” sings PnB Rock on the hook.

A Boogie and Lil Kodak also contribute with rhymes about cars and references to “The Fast and the Furious” franchise. Listen to the song below.

The soundtrack arrives on April 14th, the same day the film hits theaters.

New Music: Joey Bada$$ – “Rockabye Baby” Feat. ScHoolboy Q [LISTEN]

With one week remaining for Joey Bada$$ to drop ‘All Amerikkkan Bada$$’, the Pro Era MC shares the ScHoolboy Q-assisted “Rockabye Baby”. The single is one of just four songs on the album that include a feature.

The politically-charged “Rockabye Baby” follows along with the album’s theme, as Joey takes aim at Donald Trump and raps about his lack of trust in the current regime saying, “We ain’t got no one to trust / Time is running up, feel the burn in my gut / And if you got the guts, scream, ‘Fuck Donald Trump!”

Along with taking digs at Trump, the Badmon also spits lyrics about peace in an attempt to unify bloods and crips.

“Peace to my Slimes, and peace to my Crips,” raps Joey. “Neighborhood police and they always on the shift / Protect my Bloods, look out for my cuz / When it’s all said and done, we be the realest there was.”

ScHoolboy sticks to his guns as well with raps about slavery, social issues, the country’s racist past, crooked cops, senseless acts of violence, and more.
