Childish Gambino) shouted it out during his Golden Globes acceptance speech.

Lil Wayne Previews a Song From Carter V

The wait may finally be over for all the Lil Wayne fans who have been patiently waiting for Carter V.

A video appeared on LilWayneYMHQ Instagram account of a song that is supposedly called “Life of Mr. Carter,” based on Weezy’s birth name, Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr.

We know that Tunechi and Birdman have both announced that the album would be released this year. But we also know that the two have not had the best relationship over the past few months.

A while ago, Martin Shkreli leaked some of Tha Carter V on Periscope claiming that he received a copy for his personal possession.  However, Weezy’s team conducted an internal investigation to find the culprit of the leak.

Could this be a competition to see who will release the album first? The main reason that it has been taking so long for Carter V to be released is because Wayne and Birdman are locked in a $51 million lawsuit against with Cash Money. “Birdman recently said on Beats 1 that fans will hear the LP, but Lil Wayne said not so fast.”

You can check out the full video below!

New Video: Young Thug – “Wyclef Jean” [WATCH]

Director Ryan Staake explains how he was able to direct the bizarre video for Young Thug’s “Wyclef Jean,” without the rapper showing up to the shoot.

Thugger appears in the beginning of the video snacking on Cheetos as he raps, but Staake didn’t shoot that and never even met with Thug. According to Staake, Thug sent him that footage and after the Atlanta rapper failed to show up to the shoot, he shot it anyway, with consideration of Thug’s requests.

Staake explains how the whole video came to be with hilarious commentary throughout the video, while models and kids make out the scenes Thugger was supposed to appear in.

“Wyclef Jean” is off Thug’s last year release of the ‘Jefferey’ album.

Meek Mill Gives Us A Sneak Peek To #DC4.5

Meek Mill gives his fans a little taste to what seems like Dream Chasers 4.5 on Instagram last night. It’s been a little under 4 months since Meek dropped Dream Chasers 4 and now he is coming out with a 4.5 version to the hot tape. You know Meek Mill is not one to hold back on his music so we know he’s definitely going to do in on this project.

Teasing one of his singles, we can already hear one dope instrumental accompanied by the words “Welcome to Philadelphia!”

His last #DC4 project had features from Tory Lanez, Pusha T, 21 Savage, Lil Uzi Vert, + more. There’s no sign to who might be on the 4.5 version but we’re sure he’s coming in strong with it for 2017 and post break-up with Nicki.

There’s no release date on this new project but you can tell Meek is really in the works with new music.

YG is Offering to Perform “F.D.T.” at Trump’s Inauguration at a Price

As president-elect, Donald Trump’s Inauguration draws near, many people are growing anxious.  This Friday is the day when President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, and their daughters, Malia and Sasha, will vacate the White House for the Trump clan.  The big question, regarding Trump’s Inauguration, is, “Who will actually perform for this guy?”  While the president-elect has a few artists in his lineup already, he may want to consider this rapper’s offer of a lifetime.

Compton rapper, YG, said he would hit Trump’s stage for $4 million.  It wouldn’t be any song, either.  YG 4 Hunnid tweeted, “I’ll perform Fuck Donald Trump at his inauguration for $4,000,000.”  For what Donald Trump is worth, the price shouldn’t be a problem.  We all know he’s struggling to gather performers to support him, and bringing YG on would create a larger audience, consequently increasing his Inauguration ratings—which he cares a lot about.  However, at what price is he willing to pay? $4 million, perhaps?

2 Chainz Confirmed Album Release Date

2-chainz-dtb

Just a couple of weeks ago, 2 Chainz revealed the name of his upcoming album, which is titled Pretty Girls Like Trap Music. Now, Tity Boi finally announced the release date of when the album will drop.

2 Chainz posted a picture on Instagram of him and Drake in the studio with the caption “4/7.”

April 7th is the release date for PGLTM and this automatically made fans excited the album will drop in less than 3 months. The last solo album 2 Chainz dropped was back in 2013 with B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time, we are just as excited as his fans to see what the album has in store for us.

After listening to his last project Hibachi For Lunch in October and performing at our Cali Christmas in December, we know Chainz has major moves up his sleeve.

Aspire Music Group Sues Cash Money Over Deal About Drake’s Music

Drake’s music seems to be everywhere these days, even in lawsuits.  Aspire Music Group is not happy with Cash Money and the current music situation over Drake’s music.

Aspire Music Group filed a lawsuit Wednesday against Cash Money for its portion of revenue Drake has created through his recordings.  Aspire has claimed Drake signed a recording deal with them in December 2008 and then signed a secondary deal with Cash Money.

The deal with Cash Money was that Aspire would receive one-third of the profits from any “commercial exploitation” of Drake recordings, per the claim.  To add onto that, Aspire is now declaring it wants Cash Money to give a full accounting of Drake’s earnings, pay Aspire its share of revenues, and pay for some damages.
