Kanye West Will Debut Yeezy Season 5 at New York Fashion Week

Kanye West has proven he slays the music scene AND the fashion scene.  West has announced his Yeezy Season 5 show will premiere during New York Fashion Week.

Yeezy is known to have a lot of neutral but bold pieces in each one of his shows.  There hasn’t been much talk about what’s going to be in the show and what the line looks like, but Kim Kardashian-West posted on her Snapchat today that Kanye and her are working on a kids line that’s coming soon.  This might hint there may be some collaborations in Season 5.

The show is set to take place at Pier 59 Studio on February 15 at 5 P.M. ET. By West’s fashion history, we assume we’ll see a couple of cool pieces once again.

New Video: Belly – “Re Up” Feat. Nav [WATCH]

Belly rides with LA Leakers’ Indie Pick alumni, Nav in the video for the smooth track “Re Up” off Belly’s ‘InZombia’ mixtape.

In the Logan Pierce-directed video, the duo hit the highway looking to getaway from reality. The includes grainy, vintage footage that creates a VHS-like effect. On the track both Canadian rappers talk about their struggles with drugs and how substances has effected people around them.

Belly is currently embarking on the “Rubba Band Business: The Tour” with Juicy J till the middle of March. As for Nav, he’s came a long way since I featured him as my “Indie Pick of the Week” last year. After being featured on Travis Scott’s “Biebs In the Trap,” the Toronto rapper has been making moves with the XO collective. Good for him.

Rihanna Will Appear In A&E Series “Bates Motel” [PEEP]

Per usual Rihanna has been slaying at everything she does.

From the music she makes to modeling to philanthropy to owning Azealia Banks on social media to acting, she’s definitely winning at all aspects of life and thriving at everything she does.

After photos of her on the set of the upcoming film “Ocean’s 8” surfaced, RihRih has also been spotted in the new trailer for the final season of the freaky A&E series, “Bates Motel.” In the trailer Rih appears to be soaked from the rain and trying to get a room in the spooky motel.

The role Rih will be playing is Marion Crane, who’s role was played in Alfred Hitchcock’s movie “Psycho” by Janet Leigh. Marion Crane is a convict whom is on the run from the police after she stole her boss’ money. In the movie she is eventually killed.

There have been several reports statin that Rihanna will appear in “multiple” episodes, although it is to be seen how many “multiple” is. Either way I’m pretty excited about seeing Rihanna make the roll hers. I’m sure she’s gonna slay that too.

“Bates Motel” will be back on air for its final season beginning Monday, February 20th at 10 pm EST on A&E. Don’t miss out.

Big Sean Performs “Moves” On “Ellen” [WATCH]

big-sean-ellen

Big Sean brought the “Moves” to “Ellen” as he made his debut on the show and performed his newest single surrounded by elderly people holding cash, drinks, and popping bottles.

The elderly group showed off some of their moves as well while they celebrated life, while Sean ran through the track and displayed great energy.

It’s quite ironic Sean Don had elderly people rocking the stage with him after he shared on “The Tonight Show” that his upcoming album ‘I Decided’ is based on an older version of himself.

“The album is basically a chance, to have that wisdom of an old man while you’re young, and going through life to figure it out,” he said on “The Tonight Show.”

The Detroit player will drop his forthcoming album ‘I Decided’ on all platforms this Friday. The album will include contributions from Twenty88 (a.k.a. himself and Jhene Aiko), Migos, Jeremih, The Dream, and fellow D-Town player, Eminem.

Frank Ocean Throws Shade at Trump

Today, Frank Ocean’s Tumblr page had a new note on it that came from the Boys Don’t Cry artist.  “Don’t cook the books either Donald. We all know your event was dry. No matter how many times CNN anchors repeat majestic or peaceful transition of power. The world can see America divided and the chaos in the streets,” Frank says on the post.  He continues with giving love to Barack Obama and tells him it would have been “equally presidential if you would’ve just walked on out while Donald got through that struggle speech trashing your career.”

Frank didn’t make it unknown of what he was thinking.  Other than Frank’s Tumblr post, artists like Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Kendrick Lamar said farewell to the 8-year president on their social media pages today.

Tory Lanez Says Lil Wayne Is The Best Rapper Of His Time

Lil Wayne has had his fair share of recent controversy however he has one mega fan named Tory Lanez. Tory Lanez tweeted yesterday “Lil wayne will die the best rapper of his time and era…ni**** gotta stop the bullshit and give the man his credit.”

Lil Wayne is Drakes mentor/friend so it is interesting that Tory is coming to his defense.

Kanye West is a complicated person to say the least. We love him, we hate him, we can’t decide. Well one University in Missouri will be taking an depth look into Pablo himself and teaching a class titled “The Politics of Kanye West.”

The class is already full with people waiting to take it and will look at the rapper/producers/fashion designers affect on society and talk about larger issues connected. It will also discuss the Taylor Swift and Kanye drama.

“I always wanted to teach a course looking at black genius and the impossibility of black genius in America,” the professor of the course stated.

We know one thing for sure, Kanye will be all for a course on him because, obviously, no one loves Kanye like Kanye.

On the track Wale boasts about how “the money be coming in,” while also exchanging sports references with Lil Wayne. The two are well-known sports aficionados and make up a perfect combination over the smooth instrumental.

“Running Back” may be the next single off Wale’s forthcoming album ‘SHINE’, which is expected to be released later this year according to the rapper.

New Video: Jeezy – “Never Settle” [WATCH]

Jeezy is not settling as he wants “it all brand new socks and drawers” in the video for “Never Settle.”

The video captures Jeezy as he stunts around Las Vegas hitting up a dinner with Trey Songz, before hitting different nightclubs where he pops bottles with models and the rest of his posse. I guess not everything that happens in Vegas stay there. Somethings end up in a video.

“Never Settle” is off Jeezy’s critically-acclaimed album ‘Trap Or Die 3’, which he released last year. Jeezy is gearing up to hit the road with Lil’ Durk and YFN Lucci on the “Trap Or Die 3 Tour.” The tour will begin on March 1st in Chicago and run through April 6th in San Diego.

New Video: 2 Chainz – “Good Drank” Feat. Gucci Mane & Quavo [WATCH]

2 Chainz takes it back to the prohibition era in the roaring 1920s for his “Good Drank” video featuring fellow ATLiens, Gucci Mane and Quavo.

Howard Ross directed the video which includes vintage cars, purple bottles, flappers, and classic 20s wardrobe. The video also answers what the “Good Drank” in question, which is actually lean and NOT alcohol as it was in the 20s. Unfortunately for this trio lean is in somewhat of a prohibition.

“Good Drank” is off Chainz’ mixtape ‘Hibachi For Lunch’, which dropped last October. Chainz is currently working on his next album ‘Pretty Girls Like Trap Music’, expected to be released on April 7th.
