Jay-Z Buys Swizz Beatz ‘Holy Grail’ Art (News)

Jay-Z has purchased a Mercedes-Benz hood that Swizz adorned with Jean-Michel Basquiat’s face. He dubbed the piece “Holy Grail” and dedicated it to Hov. Proceeds from the sale will be donated to art schools.

“Look who purchased my Basquiat on Benz Hood 2day,” tweeted Swizz. “what a honor and Blessing I’m so grateful for the support! July 4 its Showtime ART LIFE!!! I will use proceeds to continue helping kids in need.”

Dr. Dre Gives Kendrick Lamar ASCAP Award (Video)

The ASCAP Awards took place last night in Beverly Hills, and  Dr. Dre presented Kendrick with the Vanguard Award.

“Kendrick Lamar is a class act,” said Dre as he took the podium at the Beverly Hilton. “I’m proud to know him. I’m proud to work with him and he is an important part of the new generation of hip-hop, and it’s definitely continuing the legacy of Compton.”
